Kerry Folan is a writing instructor at George Mason University, where she teaches Composition and Writing about Texts. Previously, she wrote and edited in the digital media space at companies including Ralph Lauren, where she launched the company’s first Twitter and Facebook platforms, and Curbed Media, where she was the editor-in-chief of the fashion news blog Racked National, which was ranked as one of the 40 most influential fashion blogs in the world by blogger analytics site Signature 99. Currently, she is an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction and a 2016-17 Thesis Fellow at GMU. Maoria J. Kirker is the Instructional Services and Assessment Librarian at George Mason University Libraries in Fairfax, Virginia. She received her B.A. in History and a Certificate in Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2009. She received her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. She is currently working on a M.S. in Educational Psychology at George Mason University. Maoria’s research interests include library instruction communities of practice, reflective instruction, and instructional assessment.
